Taichi Chuan conscious movements, practiced in various ways, are a large part of the training. Along with it are Qigong, body conditioning and breathing exercises.
Sitting, standing and walking meditation are also a very important and essential component of Taichi training.
Because of the multiplicity of practices and the time they require to be trained, the Path of Taichi is taught in the traditional way of temple training in the form of a full-time retreat or in one-on-one transmission in the form of private lessons.
Retreats usually range from six days for the introductory course to Taichi, to two, three and four weeks for continuing and more advanced levels.
For the benefit of the students and the quality of transmission, retreats are held in silence.
However, in order to help students dismiss doubts or questions and get as much as possible from their retreat, daily private individual interviews are conducted as well as group Q&A.
